Why Joy?

There is no denying the sadness and grief that death can bring.

When we looked closer, we found that joy, while often unspoken, consistently exists throughout the mourning process.

Remembering it, Finding moments of it, Trying to get back to it.

For many Americans, death ceremonies revolve around a tradition of celebration.

From homegoing ceremonies to sacred tributes to commemorate those who have passed, there is often a desire to celebrate life and honor the legacies of the ones we lose.
