Making a plan starts with a conversation. When it comes to discussing end of life plans, for many of us, the discussion either never begins or becomes a discomforting obstacle between loved ones.
Fear is the greatest hindrance in planning for end of life care: Fear of dying, how it may happen, or of speaking it into existence. We believe that fear of the unknown the most terrifying of all.
Refusing to engage in end of life planning creates complicated, unknown scenarios for loved ones to encounter in the future. This can be eliminated by setting aside time and having the courage to talk about your after death plans.
